Long and short of it. Last weekend on the way to houring out early with a flat front tire, I got either a small crack or hole in the underside of the KTM fuel tank. This is the bike I run in Colorado Class when I can, but I don't think dripping fuel on the headers is the hot ticket for a safe finish(sorry bad pun).

I've got a new one ordered, but would like to have a backup plan in place if it doesn't show up on time.

Thanks-

Hardware store... Plastic repair kit (near superglue and tape isle) There is a plastic repair kit works kind like JB Weld. Mix hardener and apply. Works pretty well but never used it with fuel behind it.... Cost is less than $4

not sure if it would be as strong as the epoxy, but some body guys have plastic welders

AKA soldering iron. I've done this frequently with ABS plastics, and you use a "rod" cut from some of the same type of plastic. Never tried with a fuel tank though. Maybe you SHOULD move it outside (not near my house).

Aaaah, small heat gun with a fan. That would probably do better with penetration on thicker material than the soldering iron, but I'm sure it's really easy to burn the plastic. We'll let Fred try it first!
