i have a couple questions:
1. how does the pay work for a four day race? this is the info i have for a two day race...but none for a four day race.

Pay is as follows:

Starting pay is $50 per day
If you work both Saturday & Sunday of a race weekend, you get an extra $10 for Sunday
After you work a total of 6 days (either: individually; as 3 weekends, or; a combination of the two), you get bumped up to Senior pay, which is $75 per day (plus the extra $10 on Sunday if you work both days)

2. does anyone wanna carpool to help out with gas? my buddy and i wanna work this race; so i'm looking for two open seats, or we could take his armada and we have four open seats. is anyone intrested.
please PM, and thanks in advance for your response.

Thanks for posting your question!

I am actually in the middle of getting all the details and I will post them up as soon as I get them unless someone else posts them first.

Alright, here is the skinny!

Base pay for new workers is $50 plus $10 bonus for each additional day. So a three day weekend would be $50/60/70.

Base pay for experienced workers is $75 plus the $10 bonus for each additional day. So a three day weekend would breakdown like this $75/85/95.

BTW - Hastings is going to be a three day weekend. Saturday, Sunday & Monday. The track does not need us for Friday.

Let me know if anyone has any other questions.

Sorry to have to do this Kyle, but a correction is required.

You are considered "experienced" once you have completed 6 days of corner working. So for those of you that worked both days of the new rider’s school and both days of race #1 and #2, you should meet the requirements of "experienced" for the Hastings race..
The pay structure in place for experienced corner workers was implemented in 2007 (by me shamless promotion) to reward people returning year after year. Ergo, you are considered an "Experienced corner worker" if you worked more than half of the races in the preceding year. If you have any questions about if this applies to you, come see me...

And don't forget the hotel reimbursement and free lunch...
