Well, I own 2 Harleys and I have no trouble with them leaking oil. I know the older Panheads did leak alot but what engine wouldn't that is that old.

it's ok they do have there oil. One is a 2008(wifes bike) and the other is a 2009(my bike). i check them once a week just because of all the urban legands about harleys and there oil problems.

200 bikes last night and the only bike in the parking lot that was leaking oil was a Harley. More than urban legend :D

I'd sooner believe that Harley came up with a way to make engines that don't need oil than with a way to make their engines stop leaking oil.

Still, Harleys exist so that Duc owners have access to tools while on the road. I've been there and I'm thankful.

Well, so far I have yet to need my cell phone or credit card for the HOG's. I only have 1098 miles on them right now so lets see what happens in a few more months.

Whatever  .. crescent wrenches & pliers don't work so well on metric socket heads.

I've had two Harley's one 97 Road King and my present 2007 Fat Boy neither has ever lost a single drop of oil. Though Harley's are built as modern Vintage Motorbikes they have way more reliability than say an older Pre- Bloor Triumph ever did.
Older Harley's didn't leak oil, they simply just marked their spot! LOL

That engine is probably older than the collective ages of all the bikes surrounding it.

Awww, c'mon!!!!
Haha, it's true, but the Triumph's got way more character!
