Trust me if you saw how I was using a laptop you understand the need for something that's not easily broken. Im burning through them like paper towels.

I have to say the gateway has been the best so far.

Stay away from sony laptops, they are meant for 14 year girls with soft hands.

I don't know much about computers. I do know that my work computer is tough as nails. Its a Panasonic Toughbook. It rides around in the car w/ me, has been dropped several times, rained on, filled with dust, etc. etc. Its big, and heavy but hard to hurt.

I was "helping a co-worker" and we managed to back a Silverado over a ToughBook! I'll be damned but it still works normal (the shell got beat to hell but the goodies inside like the screen were unharmed!) If you need a strong comp, this is the one! :)
