So I am slowly but surely gathering unto me various needed gear, and have most of it figured out.

Boots seem to be an issue.

So I need some advice here, if possible. I am really trying to avoid having to get custom boots that cost more than the suit I am aimed at.

See, I have these kinda square feet. The last comfortable, properly fitting boots I owned (thoughtfully provided by Uncle Sam once upon a time) were US size 7.5EEEE. Same size as my running shoes, as it happens.

It's durn near impossible to even find street boots in that size, much less riding boots. I tried on everything Performance had in stock, and found a couple that came close- the only problem was that wearing them for more than about 30 seconds produced the *exact* same feeling as putting my foot in a vice and tightening it vigorously. No Bueno.

So- any suggestions? Any leads on a company that will make a track boot to my measurements for less than $500? Anyone with a "D" width foot wanna trade feet?
