Thats kinda cool. But I'm not holding my breath. They are letting the autoX guys use the lots, not the track. I would love for them to open back up the road course, but Ill believe it when I see it.

A co-worker of mine drives in NASA and just told me they are running PPIR this summer, sometime around Labor Day.

I just heard news on the radio down here in the Springs that the new owner is going to open up for racing the road course with one stipulation...absolutely no NASCAR events!
This is gonna be cool. 8)

So let's keep donating bucks to the new track, and watch the membership get back to the point we HAVE to run pre-quals!

Hold your horses, Benny! I swear, you young people have no patience! :P
Seriously, you read Glenn's post http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=6961
There are a few factors to consider, not the least of which is how much they would charge us to rent the track for a race weekend.
I know I've gotten a lot of calls about this issue from racers wanting to race there this year. We'd all like to try to hook us up ASAP. Things just sometimes take a little time...

Good luck getting that on the schedule guys. It would be nice to have another local track.

I have already spoken with the new owners about holding a supermoto event and the new guys are very eager to book races.

a guy from national auto sport association says that the track is still in good shape in this news clip - http://static.koaa.zope.net/includes/video/480x400_zope.swf?cat=zog&id=x1526667670 but thats coming from a car guy that doesnt mind the bumps as much as us crazy motorcycle people.
