ATTN all riders. With the addition of the transponders we have been less strict about riders entering the track on bikes that do not bear the riders actual MRA number, since it has less of an effect on the overall scoring methods.

However, the medical information sheets you all fill out with information about allergies, past injuries, medications, etc are kept in the ambulances and are referenced by your MRA number. Obviously this poses a problem in the event that a rider is injured and there is confusion about the riders true identity. Unlikely as it may be, this confusion could potentially have horrific consequences.

In order to try to alleviate this we are instituting the following policy:

All riders entering the racing surface must display their MRA number on their HELMET. The number must be displayed in the following fashion:

- minimum 1" tall block numbers (no fancy scripts)
- displayed on the "jawline" of the helmet (ie, the front, lower part of the helmet that protects your jaw/chin area)
- can be displayed on either side, right or left, or both if the rider chooses
- the numbers must be of a solid color that contrasts with the helmet color, or over a solid, contrasting background applied under the numbers

Under absolutely NO circumstances should riders enter the track with a helmet that displays either no number or the incorrect number. Violations will result in fines.

If possible, compliance with this policy is strongly suggested this coming weekend at Hastings, but because of the short notice we will not force 100% compliance.

Compliance will be mandatory starting with the August 9/10 event at Pueblo.

Thanks!!
