SUNDAY-" THE PONY EXPRESS" by Vanmar 1.5 Hour RACE

May 11th Vanmar Racing will host a track day at PMP.
It's a Sunday!!!!

In addition we will be holding a 1 1/2 hour long race.
We are going to call it the "Pony Express".

Here is how it works...
Racers form teams of 2 or 3 riders.
They race as a team.
They race on there own motorcycle.
Racers pass the TRANSPONDER to the next rider.
Just like the pony express passed the mail to the next horse and rider.
Depending on how many teams, we might go for a GTO/GTU format.
We are wanting to start the race at 10:30am, so it will end at noon, then all the other riders can pay for a half day and go ride.

We are still hashing out some of the details and prizes.
Stay tuned we should have more info about the race soon.

Are there any more details for this. How about entry fees. Will there be any practice before the race starts. Do you have to have a race licence? If we have three riders can we use two bikes. The riders going first and last share a bike and the middle rider uses his own. I would love to do this race.

'cause it's a race? I would think (just assuming and I could be wrong) we'd want race qualified participants in the race for safety reasons.

Hey Everyone,

We are busy working on the details for the Pony Express Funday at Pueblo Motorsports Park.

Here is some additional info!

The Pony Express Race will require a minimum of two racers and maximum of three racers per team.
The entry fee is 75.00 per racer.

The entry requirements are
A. you must be a licensed racer. OR
B. You must have taken a MRA RACE CERT School within the last two years. OR
C.You must have been licensed as a motorcycle roadracer in the last two years.

We will try to have the race over with by 12 noon so that the track will be open for 1/2 day practice(50.00) to all riders with a license or safety school cert. (bring proof)
We are working on prizes and want to spread them around to all participating racers so there will be drawings for prizes at the end of the race.

The winning team will earn 2 free practice days per rider courtesy of Pueblo Motorsports Park. Plus a Cash Award from Vanmar Racing! Plus other prizes.

The snack bar will be open so you can treat your MOM to lunch!

The Vanmar Tent will be set up and all mom's will receive a beautiful rose, a card of thanks for letting their racer spend the day at the track and if they are cranky I will have Mark rub their feet!

Spectators will pay 5.00 to watch unless you have a MRA associate, crew or racer pass.

An ambulance has been hired to be there during the race.

We need corner workers!!!! Please volunteer!

We will be using the MRA scoring system so please bring your fully charged transponders!!!

We will be spending Sunday Night at the track (BBQ party time with movies) and we will be there Monday for the open bikes only practice day!

We will help change all bike tires regardless off brand.
