Due to the continued issues in getting all transponders returned on time, we are instituting the following policy:

- Transponders must be returned to pretech by the time the transponder crew leaves. To be safe, get it there no later than 20 minutes following the last race of the event on Sunday.

- Failure to return the assigned transponder will result in a $25 fine being levied against the rider, payable before the next race event.

- No rider will be assigned more than one transponder at a time. If a rider fails to return a transponder they will not be able to check out another one until either returning the missing one, or paying the MRA a $300 fine (cash or certified funds only) to cover the cost of the missing equipment. Since you can't race without a transponder, it really pays to take care of this on time. If you return the missing transponder later, your replacement fee will be refunded via check.

- If you lose a transponder during a race, contact a race official immediately! Corner crews can help look for it, but will not be sent back out once they have been brought in for the day. Transponders are the rider's responsibility, which includes loss during use.

Please understand that this is not an attempt to get more money out of our riders. However, these transponders represent a large investment on the part of the MRA, and we are doing you all a favor by not requiring you to purchase them outright like most other clubs do. It puts additional burden on us when these go missing or cannot be charged before a race weekend, so hopefully the fines will serve as a deterrent to keeping them.

Thanks for your understanding and continued diligence in getting them returned on time.
