We are well on our way!
We have in production a large banner to place at the track entrance, beautiful schedule poster and pocket cards. We should have them in our hot little hands soon. Marty and Margaret, could you post those up here so all can see?
Now that that's taken care of, we are moving to the next step of organizing "Meet and Greets" at local shops. We are trying to attend shops' Open Houses as well. At these, we will have the MRA truck (as available), race bikes and gear, schedule cards and posters, MRA Programs, Cornerworker info, and racers talking with customers about who we are and what we do. These will starts late March through May, with a heavy emphasis on April.
We have a larger internet presence with an MRA MySpace page, CSC forum, banner, and link, and we're working on a YouTube thing.
We are also beginning to focus more on our radio and tv interest, writing up spots for radio and convincing tv to come out to the track.
Sheila Paul is working on putting together an MRA calendar for next year to give away to racers and shops. The calendar will contain all the MRA dates and maybe a few other dates. This will be funded by MRA Race Teams buying a month with their team info (good to show off to the sponsors).
We're figuring costs now, but it should be quite affordable.
Ladies of the Rockies has a logo and will be getting a class picture taken for use in marketing the club, 'cuase all you guys know that we chics on bike are hot and we don't mind using our feminine wiles to promote the club! LoR is sponsored by Michelin Tires and they will be offering a free ladies race class at Pueblo on April 14. Contact Tammy Schellinger at Vanmar. Uh...can't remember the phone number...Tammy?
We also want to announce the Dan Morgan Pacesetter Award. This award will be given to a racer pit each week for having the most professional and cleanest pit. It doesn't have to be the flashiest or most expensive, just well-kept. This will be a rotating banner to proudly fly at maybe your pit for a race weekend. More details later.
