Chris:
Banquet -
Saving a lot of money on a venue with having a venue donated to us by Holcomb’s daughter
Volunteer -
Step up! Volunteer, donate your time. Novice or not.
Bob:
Banquet - we got the venue for free! Holcomb Stewart and his Daughter have offered up her place of work free of charge ($7k-$8k value)
All we need is catering
We want to do a masquerade ball - it is suggested, you do not have to do it if you do not want to of course!
Hoping to do a little more formal than previous years
Nominations end tonight at the end of the meeting
If you do not accept, it is an automatic decline.
Terri:
Novice Hours - any feedback? Did you guys like the system this year?
Secretary Position - the secretary position is changing. Secretary will no longer be doing grids for the raceday. If you have been on the fence because of this, but want to run, get someone to nominate you now (if you have a membership).
Noel:
Accounts -
Safety Fund - $2651.01. Includes all donations, the 5k, etc
Will have all Final Figures at the banquet. Proud of what the club has done this year
Santiago:
Get your bike cleaned up over the off season. Get your stuff ready now.
If you have questions, get in contact ASAP.
Dan:
Working on redoing some of the powerpoint presentations for the New Rider school for next year
Correcting and fixing some things learned this year
Location, location, location - designating a pit location for SuperStreeters
Some people are wondering about the price of SuperStreet vs a track day - this is something we are looking at, to make SuperStreet better for the price
Katie:
Thank you for donating to Safety Crew Appreciation!
Connex cleanout and inventory at the end of the month. Will allow us to get both locations self-sufficient and will let us know what equipment needs to be replaced.
Codey:
Keep a lookout for MailChimps coming up - the next one coming is the Banquet
Dennis:
Rule Change - the deadline is next Monday the 16th
Meeting at the Nite Owl is at 10:00 am on October 28th.
There is a Trunk or Treat at the Nite Owl after the Rule Change Meeting if anyone is interested
Blair:
Erik:
Will be going back to the Colorado Motorcycle Expo - will be power so can bring your laptop. Let us know if you are interested in helping out.
January 27th and 28th (Sat to Sunday, breakdown Sunday evening)
Member Questions:
Are there going to be changes on modern vintage bike years?
Nothing has been proposed, if nothing is proposed, it will be the 15 years as per usual
SuperStreet vouchers/flyers?
Sponsors get SuperStreet vouchers and all SuperStreet information. At Performance MS, you will be offered a voucher if you buy a suit. Supporting our sponsors.
How many vouchers are we giving to sponsors? Are they all being used?
Each sponsor gets 5, not sure if they are all used
How much was donated to the Safety Fund this year?
Noel will speak to that.
Changing tech stickers round to round? Difficult for PreGrid to differentiate between Rounds.
Will be changing this next year. The reason they were all the same this year was because of the 50th Anniversary logo.
What are we trying to figure out with the accountant?
Still trying to get the Dunlop stuff in the correct “class”. When we started, it was unspecified, so we needed to go through and specify everything to make sure all our stuff is solid.
Who will be doing pre and final grids from now on?
Timing and Scoring
So the new changes will be making Timing and Scoring’s job more difficult?
Not necessarily - this is why I will be coming back as T&S next year to make sure I am implementing a system that works and is trainable.
What time does it start? What's the price?
Doors will open at 5 pm. Dinner starts at 6. Ceremony starts at 6:30pm
Where is the place?
Crown Hill Cemetery. Off 29th and Wadsworth, will have signs and maybe some bikes. Plenty of parking! Sticking with the same price - $65 per person with meal. $45 for a seat with no meal.
Will there be a bar?
Yes, but it is not a cash bar. Buy your drink tickets when you purchase your meal tickets. Will find a way to make tickets available at the event. Soft drinks and water are free.
Waiting to hear back from the catering company to see what drinks are allowed. If you guys want to help, please reach out to Angela
What kind of liquor license do they have?
They have their own liquor licenses with the bartending services.
Will there be vegan or vegetarian options?
Angela will double check to see if there is something we can have for vegetarian options.
How many members would partake in a vegan/vegetarian menu?
5-10% of the membership? Suggestion for next year - when we are planning, this could be something we plan ahead for. Earlier stages of planning.
Who has been nominated for what? Are there any last minute nominations before the period is closed?
Dustin P - Race Director (declined)
Someone for Press and Comms?
President - Bob H (accepted)
Secretary - Dan’s Wife (accepted)
