Ø Report of Officers:

Ø President: Jim Wilson-
Ø Welcome to the September General meeting
Ø We have been working on the 2018 schedule it’s pretty much finalized.
Ø 4 rounds at HPR, 2 Pueblo & 1 PPIR
Ø We know some of you weren’t happy with PPIR, the walls, safety & timing loop
Ø Spoke to Jared PPIR Manager he said if we do a round at the beginning or end of the season they would be much more willing to move the walls for us. The loop needs to be replaced it’s 20+ years old.
Ø Staying away from holiday weekends like memorial & labor day but especially mother’s day
Ø LaJunta it’s about 1hr east of pueblo- Several years ago there was an incident involving motorcycles after that the city said no more bikes
Ø Open track day there was a double fatality, we had some issues with some of the walls they had, Glenn moved them & they moved the walls back. Anyways
Ø Changed management run by a car guy that Glenn is friends with, they want us to go back, it was paved last July.
Ø The city doesn’t have any hard feelings, the city attorney is the same guy that was there when the fatalities happened. Glenn spoke to the guy, let him know the full story on each situation & that it had nothing to do with the MRA. It had to do with lack of management.
Ø The city has said ok they would do it again but we would need gets some things in order first. Would be a good idea if we did a Trackday
Ø Track Rental is inexpensive, could be a way for the club to make money.
Ø Our schedule is tentative for some venues, HPR is set PPIR & Pueblo are not set in stone so we could look at the possibility of LaJunta. The board will discuss it further. If not for 2018 maybe 2019 or 2020.
Ø 6 corners, like PPIR 5 rights 1 left turn 1 is faster than pueblo, it’s short, fun & fast
Ø We wouldn’t need very many corner workers, we would have to pay for their hotel
Ø We would need to go down look at the walls, check loops, track surface etc….
Ø They have some RV outlets
Ø We will bring it up this weekend
Ø We are talking with PPIR about the walls to make it safer
Ø Staffing at PPIR is easier, Pueblo is much harder. Pueblo has 10 turns & the crossover gate, we need about 13-15 corner workers most of our staff if from HPR. HPR staff is usually working for HPR when we are racing at PPIR & Pueblo.
Ø The novelty of PPIR is not really there anymore. When we could use the garages it had appeal now they have limited power, the walls, damaged loop.
Ø The race day office is the only thing we like right now.
Ø We will talk about it more this weekend at the riders meeting, we will get the consensus about going back to PPIR vs LaJunta
Ø Corner worker appreciation coming up at HPR
Ø They like all kinds of things
Ø Shirts, hats, gift cards, alcohol, riding gear, motorcycle stuff, money generally it’s alcohol
Ø Generally the shops like to participate as well go hit them up
Ø Sat night Member Appreciation BBQ, CW Appreciation will follow in the pavilions after the BBQ
Ø You can take all Corner worker Appreciation items to Jen & Laci in the office.
Ø 2018 Season Program & Rulebooks
Ø We renewed our contact with Racing publications, they print the programs & rulebooks

Ø Since it is based on email addresses be sure your Racewurx profile is current.
Ø We hope that this will eliminate some of the past issues we have had in the past & it will cut down on expenses.

Ø Vice-President: Jeremy Alexander-
Ø Looking into other options to replace racewurx, there’s some issues that we have had for several years we need to get
Jeremy will be handling the Gap analysis
Ø The level of service we have been getting has been lacking, we need a system that meets our needs. We have asked for updates that never seem finished or adequate for what we need or want.
Ø Looking at Motorspots Reg, they might be willing to write something for us. They have made it clear that they want our business.
Ø Some things the MRA wants it doesn’t do like grids & results but has opportunity for growth.
Ø Motorsports Reg has great reviews from other clubs about their response time & questions about functionality.
Ø We are going to look at our other options as well.
Ø If we could find one that has some of the functions we want & can build on we would look into those as well.
Ø If you have any recommendations please let Jeremy know.
