General Meeting


Meeting Called to Order By: Jim Wilson @ 7:00pm

Ø President: Jim Wilson

Ø Welcome to the July General meeting

Ø Brad has resigned from his Vice President position for the remainder of the 2017-2018 season
Ø The Board will get together to either do interviews & appoint someone or the board will divide up the duties
Ø Intermountain championship at USBA next weekend
Ø All MRA racers have reciprocity for the weekend.
Ø 2 round series you will get trophies from them & from us
Ø USBA uses motorsports reg for their registration system
Ø They will be running the perimeter course, if you have ever wanted to run the perimeter course this would be the perfect opportunity to do it, check with others about trailer sharing out there & back.
Ø Friday night office opens at 5pm-8pm
Ø Apex track day
Ø They have raised some “TOW” money to help with the cost of getting out there, contact Scott Ryabrik for further details.
Ø Rv spots can be rented through the track
Ø MRA Intermountain Challenge & 4 hr endurance is at Round 5 Aug 5th &6th
Ø Talk up the 4hr endurance when you are out there.
Ø We had No food people on Sunday- they quit on the spot
Ø We have a new food truck guy, Mo for those of you that were out at second creek & HPR the 1st year will remember him.
Ø Mo will be the guy at the food truck now, he is a very nice but talkative guy, he will have fixed hours…..unlike the old staff.
Ø PPIR update:
Ø The wall by the go cart track will be moved

Ø Good round we profited $2300
Ø We have about 90k in the bank
Ø Net revenue for season looking around 35k
Ø Superstreet has been full the past 2 rounds so keep promoting it.
Ø Last year we were in the red so this year we have been focused on building our net revenue & recuperating our loss from last year.
Ø Sat gate was good over 1000!!!
Ø 4 hr endurance sponsor is Imperial
Ø Trophies for Top 5 for each Class. Payout dependent on number of entries.

Ø Results are posted, registration will open Monday, will post time online.
Ø If you have any questions about results contact me.
Ø Novice hours, come see me after the meeting to get your 30 min credit.
Ø You can only earn 2 hours by attending the General meeting, you can complete your remaining 2 hours by doing any of the following things;
Ø Friday Night Tech with Brett Leveque
Ø Friday Night trophy set up with Warren Cook
Ø Friday Night MRA truck unloading
Ø Thursday Night air Fence set up (PPIR & Pueblo Only)
Ø End of Sunday MRA equipment teardown & loading the MRA truck
Ø Friday Night & End of Sunday help Raceday Office staff unload office equipment, set up, teardown & carrying to vehicle.

Ø Fill out your 4hr Endurance Form, it’s available on the forums. Each team for pony express & Ture endurance needs to fill one out. Titanium butt riders each need to fill one out.

Look at data of your helmet & any gear you buy, test it out to be sure it fits properly

Intermountain challenge classes will have its own set of trophies plus the normal class trophy

· HPR
· We are talking about repaving sections of the track
· There is a proposal the HPR will do all of the corners instead of just doing certain turns, hope that this goes through
· Looking at how to pave around curbing
· If we do the whole track it will good for many years to come, could be worth it now to repave the whole track.
· This was CAMA idea – the decision has not been made but they are talking about it
· The car guys are actually the ones pushing it
· The garage project may be tapered back a bit but most of the garages that get built will become annual rentals, like miller & PPIR
· Talking about Extending the paddock to build the garages
· They will build day rental garages as well it just might be a little farther down the road than we were all thinking, but if the track gets repaved now it would be worth the wait.
· The MRA is 1/5th owners

If you’re going to run the 4hr give your tire vendors a heads up now so they can be prepared.
