Previous Minutes:
Committee Reports:

Ø Report of Officers:

Ø President: Jim Wilson
Ø Welcome to our may meeting
Ø Last month we made a Venue change for the general meeting. We have decided to have it at the Boardroom for the 2017 season to prevent confusion. If you know of places in Denver or North metro let us know we will look into it for 2018 season.
Ø The walnut room booted us, they didn’t like us, the manager was a jer. He posted something nasty on FB about us. The new owner emailed Jim apologizing for what happened. Jim told her what the manager did she had no idea he posted that. Jim sent her the screen shots. She apologized for that as well.
Ø We have plenty of parking, food is a lot better, the management wants us here.
Ø We are always open to suggestions
Ø We had it on the patio last month worked out well the weather was decent. Tonight is rainy so very happy to be inside this time.
Ø Round 2 registration is open closes Monday night at Midnight.
Ø PPIR May 20th & 21st.
Ø Everyone knows the garages are not available. The garages have been rented out. At the time when we made the schedule we didn’t know they were going to rent them out. We found out a week ago.
Ø North end of the paddock has a karting track, you can’t really pit over there.
Ø Not a lot of people pitted in that area but wanted to let you know if you were one of them.
Ø Next week we will send the need to know
Ø Gates open Thursday at 6m
Ø Fri practice $150 full day $100 with half they are doing both morning & afternoon
Ø 20 RV spots $50 pay at the gate 1st come 1st serve, showers open, short stop consessions
Ø PPIR doesn’t have anyone to work the Friday Trackday. It will be our MRA staff working that day, we have asked the experienced staff to do it. They are excited & ready for the season. If you see them around the paddock thank them, talk to them. We couldn’t do this without them working. Wave at them on the cool down lap
Ø Air fence set up Thursday night, great opportunity for Novice hours. If it’s raining Jim would like to get it out on the track Thursday night, if we have to blow it up on Friday morning we can do that. Jim will be in charge of deployment.
Ø Wristbands- Everyone needs to be wearing a wrist band. If you have a 2017 License, Crew Pass or Associate Membership you can go to the gate or office to sign waiver & get wrist band. If you don’t have one of those it’s $12 cash at the gate or you can use your card in the office. Please make sure if you come in on Thursday you will need to get a wristband Friday night in the office or racers can get them at Tech. Racers are responsible for their pit crew be sure they follow the rules as well.
Ø The waivers from Thursday night & Friday track day are different from the MRA waiver
Ø This fall will not be running for president again, work now has me on a complicated schedule, been doing this along time burnt out, can’t commit to all the meeting & events anymore. 4yrs as president 8 on the board.
Ø Want to let everyone know now, if you’re interested in learning what the President job description & responsibilities are please contact Jim
Ø President position is a lot busier during the off season than it is during the season, you can talk to the other board members about what it’s like being on the board.

Ø Vice-President: Brad Morris- out of town

Ø VP Rules & Tech: Brett Leveque-
Ø Numbers have seen some bikes that don’t have legal numbers. It’s your responsibility to read the rulebook & know the rules
Ø Numbers are important safety, Ambulance crew & scoring. If something happens we use your rider number to pull your medical reports. If the staff in the tower can’t read your number & the transponder system has issues you won’t get scored.
Ø Make sure you have your numbers on your helmets, both sides on the chin bar. Need to stand out make sure it’s the opposite color of your helmet.
Ø Please make sure your numbers are legal. Besides it says that in the rulebook.
Ø If you have questions about your number contact Brett
Ø Check your bikes over before you come through tech, check all your safety wire.

Ø Treasurer: Laci Lukchy
Ø 86k total in the bank
Ø Profiting about 26k that’s does not include what’s in pay pal.
Ø Sitting in a better position than this same time last year
Ø Credit process, when a round gets cancelled I have to go in & manually apply a race credit to your account & account for it in quickbooks, then when you register I have to remove the credit apply it to your entry & make adjustments in quickbooks. It is a process I di them every couple days so Please be patient.
Ø You credit will not show on the racer side.
Ø When it sends you to pay pal just save your entry exit & close
Ø Please understand we have jobs, lives & families. We do try to get things done daily but it doesn’t always happen that way. Please be patient

Ø School was great we had over 60 students instructors came from out of state & out of retirement. We had over 20 that licensed up ‘We profited 1200 normally we take a loss at the race school hope to have a packed season.
Some people were unable to attend the school they are going to do private instruction on a Friday lapping day.
Read the rulebook know the rules. Rules were put into place for a reason. When it comes to being a racer knowing the rules & safety you need to know what they are.
If you have a buddy that’s starting out help them with their bikes, rules etc…
Superstreet Limit 2 free superstreet vouchers per person, this is additional income for the club. Last year we didn’t make any money to many people have vouchers.
The vouchers are yours to do what you want with don’t feel obligated to give them people. You can give them to who you want.
