Dear Members of the CAMA Clubs:

Tuesday the Arapahoe County Commissioners voted unanimously to formally write into law a zoning regulation amendment allowing amateur motorsport facilities in the Agricultural/Entertainment zone. This is a tremendous milestone in the development of High Plains Raceway. With the regulation change now complete, our USR (Use By Special Review) permit is a giant step closer to reality. The USR application has been submitted and is currently under review by the County.

Also this week positive news was realized from our application for highway access from Colorado Department of Transportation. The conditions of the permit are within the expectations already projected in our construction budget.

Contributions for the project have been pouring in briskly. As of this week, we have received over $136,679 from some 158 contributors. Thank you for making your contributions in a timely manner. Tell your friends you are a "founding contributor". If you have not yet contributed, please mail it today! Remember, if for some reason the project doesn't reach construction, you get all of your money back! We need everyone's help to make HPR a reality.

For those who still want to learn more about the project, the CAMA clubs (SCCA, RMVR, RMR-PCA, MRA and MCCA) will each be holding presentations in the next few weeks, so watch for an announcement from your club. You should also contact your CAMA representative if you have questions. Contact info can be found at: http://highplainsraceway.com/contact.html

Progress continues with the loan program and we now have verbal commitments from nearly half the people required to fund the loan. As soon as the lawyers are finished with the loan agreement packages, we'll be having those signed commitments added to the Capital Campaign results at www.HighPlainsRaceway.com. For now, the Capital Campaign progress you see is solely through contributions from our members.

With everything coming together on the permitting front, the excitement level is ramping up quickly. When our USR application is approved, CAMA will close on the property and, when the funding targets are complete, begin construction. The tremendous member support for this project is extremely gratifying and lifts our enthusiasm even higher.
