General meeting minutes 8/10/2016
Jim Wilson (President)

Round 5 attendance numbers were pretty good.
Siobhan, Sully, and Warren were in a crash in LoR/MvGTU. Warren said he’s doing ok and wanted to thank the MRA & HPR crews. He plans to be back. Siobhan said she broke both of her hands, 2 black eyes and some other muscle damage. Sully had lots of helmet damage. Glenn was able to show how fast the response was via the video. It was 40 seconds before they were on the scene.
We’re at Pueblo at the end of the month. Pre-entry is open starting tonight and will close on Aug 22 at 11:59pm. That means there’s just under 2 weeks to enter.
There will be Street Outlaws drags on Friday night at Pueblo. Willie B (radio guy) will be doing publicity for that event, so we might get a mention on the air.
The track will be cleaned on Friday night after the drags.
There will be a lapping day run by Pueblo on Friday for both MRA racers and the public.
Saturday November 12th at the Lamar Street center. We’ll be sending out info on this later – reserve the date.
Next general meeting (Sept 14th) will open up nomination for the 2017 board of directors. Up for election are VP, Treasurer, VP of rules & Tech, and all rider rep positions. The nominations will be open until October 12th. Ballots will be sent out after that and the election will be on Nov 9th at the annual general meeting.
RaceMonitor isn’t official results. When they’re updated to mylaps and racewurx, those are official.
Turn 8 should be ok by our last round at HPR. The board will be monitoring the situation and will work with HPR to make sure it’s safe for our last round.

Aaron Fisk (VP) – absent
Jen Gross (Secretary) – absent
Brett Leveque (VP of Rules and Tech)

There has been quite a bit of gear donated for the Superstreet program. Stuff has been getting used, so it’s serving it’s purpose. We’re still taking donations for gear.
Make sure your bikes are legal for Supersport classes. If you're using parts or modifications not approved for supersport, you run the risk of being protested.

Rick Grosse (Track Marshal)– absent
Shannon Moham (Rider Rep) – absent

Most likely rule change proposals will start being taken on Sept 1st.

Laci Lukachy (Treasurer)

This round was pretty good financially, so we’re looking good for the end of the year – even with the truck expenses.
We will have dinner for the award ceremony, so it will cost more than last year's awards ceremony.
If you register and don’t pay until you get to the track, you’ll be at the back of the grid. It's the same as being late for anything else.

Jeff Brown (New Rider Director)

Superstreet had 17 riders, which was good.
Every weekend we have 1-2 racers that come from the superstreet program so it's still a good recruiting tool.
We can always use riding gear for the superstreet program.

Joe Logalbo (Rider Rep)

Role of rider reps (Jim, Shannon, Hammer, Joe)
If you have an issue with what’s going on, you should first come to the rider reps, not board officers. That’s what the rider reps are for.

Jason Hammer Madama (Rider Rep)

Next PR event is at Foothills BMW during our next race weekend (Aug 28-29). Foothills BMW is at Wadsworth and Colfax.

Jim Brewer (Rider Rep)
