We'd like to use whatever biographical data you share there during race announcing. There are often periods of time during the race where we could give racers a little more airtime if we have that info available.
Signup for base level hookit is free and there's a pay-for option to raise your score.
The big incentive is that it gives you exposure to a lot of potential sponsors. With a very easy process, I'm currently signed up for 7 sponsors for 2016.
