I do not enjoy having to write this, nor does it apply to everyone. But due to the recent rash of complaints by members regarding inappropriate conduct of other members, and the people in their pits, I feel compelled to advise everyone of the following.

The Rules

Racer Conduct (Section 9 in your rule book.)
9B- The use of intoxicants or drugs of any nature which could affect the mental or physical abilities of any participant from their normal capabilities is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will result in a punitive action up to a $500 fine and one year suspension.
9C -Each rider is responsible for the behavior and actions of any personnel, either family or crew, who is attached to their racing effort. Any punitive actions required for crew behavior will be levied against the rider.

Pit Regulations (Section 11 in your rule book)
11A -1. Pit area speed limit: 5 mph maximum! This includes race bikes and pit vehicles (pit bikes, bicycles, etc) Fines and/or penalties may be assessed or MRA officials will impound equipment.
2. All vehicles must be operated in a safe and controlled manner. Translation: NO WHEELIES, NOSE RIDING, BURN OUTS OR BACKING IT IN!!!
3. The MRA reserves the right to impound any vehicle operated in an unsafe manner and will not return the vehicle until the end of the race day.
11D-No use of intoxicants or drugs which could affect the mental or physical abilities may be used in the pit area during the race event. Violators will be escorted out of the pit area and pit passes revoked. Racers are subject to MRA alcohol and drug policies.

This is just a select few of the regulations that have been repeatedly violated in the recent past. Please consult your rule book or the version posted on line, http://www.mra-racing.org/index.cfm?action=rulebook for details and a complete listing of all the rules.
I posted this to let everyone know that due to all the recent violations and complaints from members, the MRA Board will be diligently and strictly enforcing these existing rules. We will no longer negotiate or turn a blind eye to these violations.
With one notable exception. The speed rule in the pits is obviously unrealistic and needs to be changed. Therefore some latitude will be afforded in this area alone. Meaning, if you around traveling in the area of 10 mph, no one will notice or care. Anything in excess of that guideline will land you an automatic $25 fine. This speeding call will be at the discretion of the board and is final.

If these violations are a patten of behavior and continue for any individual rider, they could be subject to heavy fines, suspension, and even expulsion from our club. All fines will be paid before you will be allowed to enter the track.

OXOXOXOXOXOX,
TIMMAY!!!
