Please confirm my reading of the rules, pg 62-63, that there is NO allowance for putting tire warmers on during a hot pit red flag race event.

This is contrary to other org's I've raced in where they DO allow tire warmers so we do not have to retake the course on cold tires.

If I missed it, please correct me. Thanks.

We modeled our rules after the WERA National Endurance series which does not allow tire warmers to be placed on the bike during a red flag.

Refer to Section 34, part d - http://maps.wera.com/rulebook/?x=1098

No on the warmers.

It creates an environment where people start messing with their bikes as they put on their warmers. We make every effort to keep the race simple and easy to police. If there is a red flag, you park your bike against the far wall and walk away.
It creates a mess of cords across hot pit.
It is a four hour race, no one is going to win it going into turn one.
There is more to it, but if you want to talk about it give me a shout.
