I just got a good deal on a wrecked CBR600RR from a coworker. Forks are bent and I've already ordered new ones. If they install easily and the wheel is aligned, do I call it good....or should I take it to a frame straightening place to check it out? It's in fairly good condition otherwise and the rest of the frame is barely scratched.

Also, if anyone has advice for setting up a CBR600RR to race, feel free to share any tips!

What year are you talking? If it was crashed hard enough to bend the forks I would probably have it checked out just to be safe.

Thanks for the reply. It's a 2007.

Take it over to Tony Martins and have him put it on the frame machine - http://www.cycleworksusa.net/

Meh, screw that. You know how many bent-up bikes are in the MRA? :) Go ride it. If it wanders to one side, just steer it towards the other!

Check the lower triple clamps. If forks got bent in a crash, there's a good chance the lower triple is bent too.
