WTB 2006 gsxr 600/750 aftermarket stator cover

I am in need of one. Anybody got a lead on one? I was gonna get a steel reinforcement welded on, but that would put the case cover machine shops out of business wouldn't it?

I was thinking of welding a bolt on bracket cover slider and just longer mm bolts.
Should be easy to fab something up.

Would this be against Tech inspection?

Call Smitty at 303-918-9944 to do that welding. We have welded them in the past. The cover just needs to be very, very clean and off the bike.

He will be in Utah this weekend (leaving Thursday), but is around during the week. We'll be leaving for Pueblo next Thursday, so it doesn't leave much time. It sucks to weld it at the track, but it has been done before.

since there has been numerous people with Smitty's reinforcements on their case covers, would it be ok in this case if smitty did that for me? At least until I can find an aftermarket one that is not 365 bucks and will prevent me from racing in a week and half. I think smitty can reinforce my stock cover as good, if not better than the aluminum "aftermarket" ones.
