It’s that time! Two weekends from now we will be racing!

We have put together a list of the Frequently Asked Questions to help you know what you need to know. If you don't see the question or answer below, post up and we will do our best to answer the questions you have.

What are the classes in the 4 hour race?
Pony Express (Team-Multi Bike), True Endurance (Team-One Bike), Titanium Butt (Solo rider & bike)

What are restrictions or eligibility for these classes?
All the information can be found in the 2013 Rule Book which is downloadable here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0g5htg0c0d0518f/2013MRARuleBook.pdf?m
But basically it is open to all.

How do I register?
There are 2 pieces you will have to complete. One is to register for Round 2 per the normal process for any MRA Round. You can register Online during the pre-entry window (instructions here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/on0nl1otje25cpa/2013_MRA_License_Renewal_Instructions.pdf) until we close which is this Friday, May 31st at 9pm. After that you can register at the track Saturday or Sunday morning until registration closes. If you are not an MRA racer but are traveling to come race with us, then you will still have to register for an MRA Membership & license by following the instructions but with a valid race license from another club, we give reciprocity and will waive the Membership and license cost. All you will have to pay is the race entry fees for that weekend.

Second, to register for the 4 hour race, a special form will have to be completely filled out and sent to our Secretary Jen Grosse. This form is in addition to the normal process and is available to download here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ks1sfka7ek75blo/4%20Hour%20Endurance%20Entry%20Form.docx We would appreciate it if you can send in the completed form early ahead of the start of the race weekend to help us ensure everything is ready and goes smoother for everyone.

What is the schedule for the race day?
The schedule can be found here on the forums: http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=16193

What is the cost to race the 4 hour endurance?
The surcharge is 40.00 in addition to the normal race fee schedule. With the MRA, the first race is $140, the second is $70, the third is $30 and then $10 for the 4th race. Any races you enter beyond that are free. The $40 surcharge for the 4 Hour Race would be added to any of those charges.

What is the tech inspection process like?
Tech is open in the morning at 7am on Saturday and Sunday. However as a convenience, our VP of Rules and Tech offers Friday night Tech Inspection. The details on this process can be seen here on our forums: http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=16101

Is there anything else I need to know?
Yes, the Corner Workers & Safety Crew work exceptionally hard every race weekend for us. However the 4 Hour Endurance race that is so much fun for us, is very demanding and hard on them. So we appreciate anything above and beyond that you can do for them. Details on this are on our forums: http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=16194

Is there a practice day?
The Friday before, June 7th there is a lapping day that is hosted by High Plains Raceway. You can signup on their website: http://highplainsraceway.com/lapping-days.html

Can we camp out at the track?
Camping at the track is allowed starting Thursday night through Saturday night.

What if I don't have a team but want to race with a team?
There are likely several others within the MRA or traveling that are in the same boat, trying to finalize teams. Post up on the forums letting them know you are looking for someone or several someones and our membership is very accommodating and willing to help you out if they are able. In many ways we are like a big extended family, so if at any point you need anything, ask.

We look forward to seeing you at Round 2!

Is there a payout for each class?

YES!

It will be determined by total entries per class, and is being further subsidized by Imperial Sportbikes and ABATE of Colorado!
