Race School Hosted by the MRA is a Success!

Denver, CO April 17, 2013

During this past weekend, April 12th and 13th, the MRA put on its annual race school at Fay Myers Motorcycle World and High Plains Raceway. The turnout was impressive, despite the cold and windy temperatures that the students, instructors, and staff all braved during the morning.

The school went smoothly with only a few minor road bumps along the way. These included a couple bike mechanical issues, among others, that were resolved before the track sessions. Jeff Brown, the New Rider Director and organizer of the school, helped manage and overcome them and provided the highest quality program possible to the customers.

A total of 30 students came and rode the track with instructors. Of those 30, three of them were women. At the end of the school 19 students received their 2013 MRA Race License that had applied and paid for them. Two of which were returning racers coming for a pre-season refresher.

There were 18 instructors that volunteered their time, tires, fuel, and travel expenses to support the program and teach the new riders. In addition, the MRA Board of Directors, staff and safety crew also traveled and supported the event.

In the end many students left with a greater appreciation for the sport and the MRA with its family-like atmosphere. If you would like to become a part of the MRA family and motorcycle roadracing but don't know where to start, please feel free to contact Jeff Brown at (303) 210-0425.
