I shipped my Ducati through forward air. They have metal bike containers for the bike and it wasn't that expensive to ship to CA.

You should leave it up to the buyer to arrange shipping so if things go wrong, it's on them and not you.

Agree. BTW I used a local company to ship from warehouse(denver) to warehouse(chicago) for only $300. I can find the info/company if you need it.
