Hey ShRed, what did you make of the cam swap etc and the frame mods. I don't know much (let me say that again: I don't know much) about improvements to the gen1 engine so I was a little shy. Also, I know gen2 frame is lighter but maybe someone could post his opinion about the engine cam/ignition retard disabled, frame mods brake and trail, height etc. I was looking at the 2000SV on the WERA site. More money; mostly sorted, fewer engine mods. Your thoughts? Dan

Hey Dan!

Engine mods to SV's are well beyond my pay-grade. But these both are pretty clean bikes for the money. I would have to defer to someone more knowledgeable about engine modes, but the aftermarket aluminum subframe (if that's what it is) is about a $200 item and well worth it. I wish mine had one.

I just posted because I know there are a couple compatriots who were looking over the winter. So when I see a clean one, I post it as a friendly gesture to help everything fill their winter wish list.

See you at the track!
