MRA GENERAL MEETING

Officer’s reports:
 President: Tony Baker-
 Marijuana
• It is not legal in the MRA… Ruleb0ok also says NO Drugs allowed
• The race tracks don’t allow it either… it will not be tolerated
 Race Licenses-
 This year we are getting a whole new Database
• Instead of you having to print & mail your race licenses packet to the Vice President you will be able to just go online to fill out the race licenses packet & submit it… No need to print it anymore.

 New Database
• We are going to get a portion of the new DB we will start testing it as soon as it comes in…. & as the modules come in we will test those as well
• There is a lot of things to be done with the new DB but we are going to work on testing it to make sure every part of it is correct
• We want to have things up & running by March 1st
• If things are working like they should you will be able to sign up for you License March 1st
• We will run the early bird special of $200 until March 31st 2013
• After March 31st the Licenses will go to the normal price $250
 Track Stuff
• Pueblo?? Hope that someone that works out there likes motorcycles
• Contracts & Deposits
o Have contracts for HPR & PPIR
o They are signed & ready to go… Deposits need to be put down when contracts are turned in.
 Misc Items-
• We got a licenses printer- it will download from the DB
• It will make things easier
• Welcome Rachael to the board & Goodbye Lisa we will miss working with you…. We will still see you at the track
• There is a section on the Forums that only the Board of Directors can see; it is where we discuss things throughout the year…
• In there every Board member has written a Job Description… If you want to know what any of the Jobs are about or the responsibilities ,needed feel free to ask that board member

 Jim Handles Membership apps, license making & Contingency
 Will still be reviewing Online Apps & approving rider #’s
 Have spoken to most of the Contingency people from last year
 Watch for Contingency updates on the forums
 What year was the MRA Founded?? 1973
 This is our 40th season
 On the posters that we put in shops for advertisements, we are going to put on them that 2013 is the 40th year for the MRA
 Abate Jan 19th they are having a seminar about riding it is free so if anyone would like to attend you’re all Welcome to come out
 Abate is the sponsors for our Corner Workers

 VP of Rules & Tech: - Carl Sorensen-
 If you’re going to go through your bike now would be a good time to do that gives you enough time before the season to fix things if needed. Clean your bike up really nicely as well makes it easier to find any issues
 Wouldn’t suggest waiting until the last minute to look at your bike

 Treasurer: Rachael Zell-
 Rachael Is the money lady
 We have 44,936.88 in the bank but we do have checks that need to be written for track deposits, 1st insurance installment
 2800 for safety fund
 16K goes to track deposit for PPIR & 1 HPR
 5k for 2 HPR Deposit
 1200 id card
 2500 for 2nd installment on racewurx
 Insurance for race weekends
 We have checks that are going to be paid
 by the time all is said & paid we will have around 10k in the bank

 Instructors if you want to do it again this year hit brownie up….
 We would like to get together before the race school with the instructors to go over a few things & throw around some ideas.

 Race day schedule will stay the same
 Corner Workers needed for the season if you have friends , family promote it at events
 New Quad needed… trying to buy a quad from faster
 Staffing for pregrid, equipment manager, crash cart Need reliable people

 Rider Reps:

• Edisplay We could use 1 more sponsor but it can’t be competing against vendors
• Swap meet need volunteers

• We had left over brochures from last year if you want to volunteer work off novice hours

• Rulebook: Shannon Moham –
• Rulebook Had to be to Nude by Jan 31st
• We are here to race not to beat each other up
• 250 Cup is going to be 3 classes
• Mvgtu- 2003-2007 will be more riders
• If we missed something let Shannon know
• Safety wire the Banjo Bolts, in addition the go pros mounting it to the bike
• If you use silicone you do need to keep an eye on it
• Red Flags- if you are the leader & you fall down you will be gridded at the back of your group
• If you get 2 red flags your class could be moved to the end of the day


• Contingency/Press: Scott Rybarik-
• Scott will not be racing in 2013 due to personal things that happened in 2012
• As a result of that self-nominations will be accepted starting tonight & it closes Jan 25th, you will then go to the Feb 4th meeting
• Ability to teach, maintain communication with sponsors
• We need to know that you really want to do this & you’re committed
• You can write a bio & send it to Tony

• Thanks for coming to the banquet is was nice t0 have it at the end of the season verse having it in Feb
• CW we need help getting more we can’t race without them
