What were the results from the RFID testing?

Ken Rogers, who owns HardCard systems, is a former MRA Prez and has been developing that scoring system over the past couple of years. He often shows up at lapping days to test various configurations of tags and antennas.

His involvement with the MRA was not an MRA test for a new timing system at this time, but rather a good test environment for him to validate his products and processes.

In speaking with him before he left on Saturday he was pleased with the results he was getting and stated that his system had successfully captured all of the passes that our system had.

One of the issues they have with the system is that in order to time to the 1/1000th of a second they need multiple antennas. These antennas have to be synchronized to 1/1000th of a second. Parallax is also an issue when bikes cross the line at or very near the same time.

Anyways, I got the impression that Ken was very pleased with his results from the day. Thank you for helping a former MRA member.
