Station wagons are mainly dull, almost as negative as minivans. However, a number of car corporations are appearing with sporty wagons. Hot station wagons and “shooting brakes,” basically the same thing, are starting to get really popular. Will you be trying to buy or sell a used or new auto? If this could be you, have a look at Gus Johnson dealership Spokane (http://www.cardealexpert.com/dealer/80570/WA-Spokane-Gus-Johnson-Ford)!

A sport wagon?

There has been an enormous effort lately to make station wagons more popular by releasing hot station wagons. Many people just think of station wagons as something old people with kids and stuff to move around purchase, but a station wagon may be making a comeback. In fact, you can easily get a sport wagon when mixed with a sport sedan.

There aren't many versions available. Some of the best-known examples are the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and E63 AMG as well as the Cadillac CTS-V Wagon, which shoots from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4 seconds.

The shooting brake option

A “shooting brake” is being released soon too, though it is not the same as a station wagon, according to the New York Times. Officially, a coupe that has a wagon’s box end is called a shooting brake, and some companies are marketing hot wagons as shooting breaks though they are not officially so. The cause of the name “shooting” brake is that men used to get sports cars and add boxes on the back for their guns.

It costs $300,000, but you can get the Ferrari FF if you are trying to find a hatchback sports car, according to Forbes. It has 651 horsepower V-12 that goes to 208 miles per hour and has a ton of room in the back for gear.

More models in the future

Car and Driver points out that Jaguar is working on the XF Sportbrake, which is basically a wagon. The power train options go from a 2.2-liter diesel motor to a 271 horsepower twin-turbo V-6, though a “hot” version was not publicized yet. Mercedes released the 2013 CLS 63 AMG called the shooting brake with a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8 with 525 horsepower. It is called a shooting brake even though it has four doors, according to Inside Line.

Just like the CLS63 AMG, the Porsche wagon will be sold in the United States as soon as it is launched. Porsche’s new wagon will be released as a concept car in September. It will be shown off at the Paris auto Show. Hopefully, more people will become interested in Wagons now that they come with such good benefits.
