I just watch this video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5LrLzN6LwE&feature=g-vrec and was wondering what everyone's thoughts on doing something like this at the end of the year after the final MRA race. Could this be ran at IMI as a kind of fun race for the MRA members and family to join in on and possibly put a little bit more funding toward the MRA costs? Thoughts?

Rocky Mountain Mini Moto doesn't have any 24 hour races planned but they do have some very close competitive mini racing happening right here in town. The next race is June 3rd at IMI. Go to their web site at http://www.rmminimoto.com/ for more information. The IMI round is $60 and depending on your bike it is possible to race in up to 9 races in one day (1heat race and 2 mains per class). So grab your pit bike or knock the neighbor kid off of his mini and come on out.
Rocky Mountain Mini Moto will be a good feeder series for the MRA by trying to get more people hooked on motorcycle road racing at a lower entry cost and lower risk. So if you have any friends that seem to always talk about wanting to race but won't quite pull the trigger and do it, this may be a great way to get them started.

Not to mention everyone is fast as hell. Don't come thinking this will be a cake walk. We are losing the front in nearly every turn and wearing through kneepucks non stop. Bring your A-Game.

Some of the most fun racing I've done! If you want to learn keeping corner speed...this is the way to do it. I'm totally game for a mini endurance race.

Maybe the MRA and the RMMinimoto guys can do a combined effort to get this race going. I'm sure there are those that don't have mini bikes, myself included, that would like to do this and could team up with someone that already has a bike. Seeing as its such a long race I figure the teams would be quite large. Even if we can't pull off a 24hr race this year, I think some kind of endurance race would be fun.
